Daijin from Suzume no tojimari - 3D Character

Recently I watched the movie Suzume and this character, Daijin, captured my heart and I wanted to model it as soon as I finished the movie. I used Blender to model and render the character, and hand painted textures on the eyes to capture the anime-style. I had trouble trying to attach the front legs to the body, as I didn't want them to create a shadow separating the two. I initially tried to extrude the faces along the body to create the front legs, but after trial and error, I decided to add a new mesh for the front legs. I have definitely been improving on my character modelling skills through these character modelling process, and have applied some new skills to my new projects. For my next character, I want to make sure that the final outcome is what I had imagined in the beginning, and try to keep the original idea even if it takes a while to look up different methods to model different parts.
